The Slate Belt Veterans Association Inc. is an all volunteer force that assists United States Veterans and Military personal recently returing from the War Zone, and their dependants obtain the benefits they are eligable for,including but not limited to, United States Veterans Benefits, Medical Care, Employment Assistance, Continuing Education, VA Home Loans, State, County, and Local Municipality Benefits, and Free Transportation to and from U.S. Veterans Administration Medical facilities. The Slate Belt Veterans Assoc. is a not for profit corporation 501(c) 3, filed with and approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
The Slate Belt Veterans Assoc. provides outreach to all Veterans and recently returning Military personal and qualifying dependants in the following counties:
PA: Northampton, Bucks, Lehigh, Monroe, Carbon, and Pike
NJ: Warren, Sussex, Somerset, Morris, and Hunterdon

Volunteers will provide assistance with disability claims,records/medals replacement, and assistance with job search. For Veterans and family members who qualify, volunteers can make applications for the Cold War Recognition Certificate (active duty service anytime between Sept. 2 1945 and Dec. 26 1991). Applications can also be made for the Korean War Service Medal if the veteran qualifies (Veteran must have been in Korea during the War). Veterans and Military personal may also register for medical benefits and can register for the Northampton County Community VA Outpatient Clinic.
Donations are always welcome, at this time they may be mailed to the address on our "Contact Us" page or dropped off at our office. Pickups can be arranged by calling us at 610-588-3396. Please help us to continue offering these valuable free services locally to our Veterans and their families.
